IAS Projects

Beyond the grant awards program, which has been at the heart of the Institute for Anarchist Studies' mission since its founding in 1996, the institute engages in other projects that help to further radical scholarship, the development of anti-authoritarian public intellectuals, and thoughtful dialogue and debate around critical issues of the day, social phenomena, or historical concerns. Currently, the IAS board is actively supporting and organizing the following projects in addition to the grants: the IAS online journal Perspectives on Anarchist Theory as well as an annual print version; a forthcoming book series in collaboration with AK Press; the Mutual Aid Speakers List; and the Renewing the Anarchist Tradition conference as well as occasional "radical theory tracks" at conferences or bookfairs.
